In 2010, Cole Grifter released their debut album, recorded at Infiniti Studio in Victoria BC, by renowned producer Adam Sutherland (Armchair Cynics, Acres of Lions, Maurice, Theset). The album features guest performances from Lea Kirstein on cello and viola, Dallas Budd (Naked Ear, Velvet) on guitar, Adam Sutherland on guitar and drums, and Sachika Kosky on vocals. Their album release was supported by their music video for Habit, which can be seen at www.colegrifter.com Directed by Christopher Ruffell of Aclara Promotions, this no budget video was called "very impressive" by Juno-winning Producer Mark Makoway (David Usher). The band is currently working on an acoustic rock album, coming this summer, along with a music video for “The Grifter” by Green Couch Productions, Directed by Jonathan Krauth (Armchair Cynics, Papa Roach, Hey Ocean!), Produced by Matthew Nagler (Econoline Crush, New World Order). So keep your eye out for these new Canadian rockers that promise to be the hardest working - and hardest playing- independant rock band.

Vocals and Guitars

Brandon is an engineering grad from the University of Victoria. He helps to make the world a better place. He's married to a wonderful girl, so keep dreaming. And he is the source of our greatest melodies. He has natural talent. While the rest of us struggled for years to develop our meagre skills, Brandon was born out-of-the-box with a golden voice.

Lead Guitar

Michael runs a digital art store and is passionate about music. He's the most reliable musician around. The rest of the time he's writing and directing our music videos, and has also done videos for Machina, Greenlaw, and the Grande Mothers. His latest film projects include three full length films- a vampire flick (Porphyria), a comedy (Jackhammer) and a documentary on addiction.

Bass Guitar

Aidan likes to write witty poetry. If there were still a market for poets, that's what he would be. But there isn't so he writes songs instead. He spends all his spare time (and he has a lot of it) reading Mark Twain and Jack Kerouac. He runs a CD and DVD printing company called Orveas Bay Publishing, helping local artists get their music into the world.

Drums and Percussion

Alex is the master of rhythm. He has an intense dedication to his craft. He's the hardest working drummer in town- doing anything and everything he can to develop his skills further. He is a psychology student at the University of Victoria, and also plays drums for Chicoro Marimba- a high energy Zimbabwean style Marimba band- and Charlene Birkbeck's new band.
